Hannover Messe: Smart production, cobots, 3D printing & AI in photonics

IPH | LZH | IFW | AI & robotics in production, sustainable hydrogen production, 3D printing as a production aid and AI in photonics – IPH, LZH & Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Hannover will be presenting these topics at the Hannover Messe from March 31 to April 4, 2025.

Innovations from industry and research will be on display at the Hannover Messe from March 31 to April 4, 2025 – including in the fields of automation, artificial intelligence, robotics and sustainable production.

The LZH – Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. is represented with the Niedersachsen ADDITIV project, the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Hannover and the IPH – Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover gGmbH. Niedersachsen ADDITIV is part of the joint stand “Digitalization” of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Building and Digitalization and can be found in hall 16, stand F11. The Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Hannover is a joint project of IFW, IPH and other partners and can be found on the joint area of the umbrella initiative Mittelstand-Digital in hall 17, stand F40. This year, the IPH is part of the joint stand of hannoverimpuls in hall 16, stand F09.

IPH: AI and cobots – automation to face the shortage of skilled workers

The shortage of skilled workers poses major challenges for small and medium-sized companies in particular. Demographic change will further exacerbate this situation in the coming years. One solution is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and collaborative robots (cobots), which make production processes more efficient and reduce the workload of personnel.

At Hannover Messe 2025, IPH – Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover gGmbH will be demonstrating how AI and robotics can be combined to enable flexible automation. Cobots work directly with humans and do not require safety guards as they are equipped with sensors that prevent collisions. AI is used to analyze an unknown image and calculate movement instructions so that the cobot can then draw the image – a technology that can be transferred to many areas of production.

From numerous consulting and research projects, IPH has extensive experience in the field of artificial intelligence, conducts intensive research into AI-supported applications and is involved in the EU project “AIMS5.0” for the further development of Industry 5.0.

At Hannover Messe 2025, IPH engineers will provide information about current projects and possible applications. You are welcome to visit us: https://www.hannovermesse.de/exhibitor/iph-institut-fur-integrierte-produktion/N1511939

LZH/Niedersachsen ADDITIV: Sustainable hydrogen production, 3D printing and AI in photonics

At the joint stand of the state of Lower Saxony in Hall 2, Stand A10, the LZH and partners will offer solutions to the question: What can the future of hydrogen production look like? The LZH and the Institute for Sustainable Energy Supply (InEV) at Jade University work together on innovative approaches for a more sustainable production and the optimal use of hydrogen.

The use of AI in photonics opens up opportunities for innovation in production optimisation, process automation and quality control. In Hall 16, Stand F11, the LZH will be demonstrating how this can be used for component optimisation, among other things. The vision: saving time and resources through AI.

Niedersachsen ADDITIV, an initiative of the LZH, will be presenting best practice examples, including fast and customised production aids. These can make the production of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) more efficient and cost-effective. The technology of 3D printing makes it possible to quickly produce or repair customised tools, components and production equipment. Niedersachsen ADDITIV supports SMEs in integrating 3D printing into their processes.
