Newsletter No. 17 / December 2017

Dear Readers,

The central topic of our current issue is on digitalization. So, research at IPH and IFA is about how 3D cameras can analyze our movements and warn us of unhealthy postures. A communication module developed at ITA is embedded in a component, able to capture production data automatically. The institute match has developed flexible robots with passive joints, and a web page created by IFA is explaining production planning and control.

Moreover, we are reporting on a team of IFUM researchers who won the Otto von Guericke Award 2017 as well as on the support offered to SMEs in the field of 3D printing.

We hope you enjoy reading the new issue!
