Bikes vs cars! Film club hosted by Technik-Salon and PZH

PZH | Never-ending traffic jams: Is this the future of cars in urban areas? How can cyclists survive the ever-growing traffic chaos? On 2 November 2017 at the Hannover Centre for Production Technology, the “BIKES vs CARS” film club poses questions and presents views from our region and from metropolitan cities around the world.

Director and producer Fredrik Gertten visited various capitals for his award-winning documentary BIKES vs CARS (Sweden 2015 | 88 min). When it comes to sharing the road, cyclists and motorists can be at odds. The film’s major question: How can the future of urban mobility look like?
In the subsequent discussion forum, Eckhardt Stasch, programme manager of the Technik-Salon asks: “Where do we stand?“ Answers are given by Klaus Geschwinder, team leader of the Traffic Development and Management Division of the metropolitan area of Hannover, and Professor Bernhard Friedrich, Head of the Institute of Transportation and Urban Engineering of TU Braunschweig.
The Bikes vs Cars film club starts at 6 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Hannover Centre for Production Technology, An der Universität 2, 30823 Garbsen, Germany (stop “Friedhof / Auf der Horst, line 4). The entrance is four euros, free entry for visitors under 25. Snacks and refreshments will be around.
