Factory planning must be learned: Seminar in Hanover

IFA/IPH | Versatile and efficient – this is how a sustainable factory should be. At the practical seminar on factory planning on 24 and 25 November 2020, specialists and managers will acquire comprehensive basic knowledge and will be able to put this directly into practice.

If a new factory is to be planned or an existing factory is to be restructured, the result should be optimal. In this context, the construction of the factory can make a major contribution to the success of the company. Many factors play a role in factory planning, such as short transport routes, efficient material flows and, finally, modularity of factory areas.
In order to support specialists and executives, two research institutes are organising the seminar, for which factory planning has been a core topic in research and consulting projects for decades: The Institute of Production Systems and Logistics (IFA) of Leibniz Universität Hannover and the Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover (IPH) gGmbH. For fifteen years now, the experts have been sharing their knowledge with industry in seminars. This can be of particular help to small and medium-sized enterprises (KMUs) where the planning of a new location is not so frequent.
Starting with the structural planning and the design of the rough concept up to the detailed layout, the participants get to know all relevant steps of factory planning and can put them into practice directly in workshops. The layout design is carried out by the participants both in the classical way on paper and on a digital factory planning table.
This seminar is aimed at specialists and managers from manufacturing companies and is limited to 20 participants. The participation fee is EUR 1,190 plus VAT per person and includes the conference documents and the catering during the seminar.
Registrations are possible until 11 November 2020, the registration form can be found at www.praxisseminar-fabrikplanung.de.
