Hot spot: Laser Technology

LZH | In the field of laser technology, the appeal of the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) goes far beyond the region. Students from all over the world benefit from the excellent facilities and the international network of the research institute.

At the LZH, they can do internships or carry out research for their theses. The duration of the internships varies and influences the involvement of the students in individual projects. However, the field of study and prior knowledge also influences their field of work.
The work environment at the LZH is convincing: "There is a very positive energy here, and my tasks are multifaceted," says Benjamin Evers-Staples from Vancouver (Canada), who is helping develop new, laser-assisted processes. Adriano de Souza Pinto Pereira from Brazil is working on his bachelor thesis at the LZH. The wide spectrum of research fields at the institute impressed him – for example, that the LZH is developing lasers for applications in outer space.
