The purpose of IPH’s newly created Idea Lab is to leave the familiar office environment to clear one’s mind and develop new ideas. It was Dr Georg Ullmann, former managing director at IPH, who conceived the new room more than a year ago. However, its effective implementation took a few months and was finally put into practice by his successor, Dr Malte Stonis.
To implement the project, Stonis had the former show room – the place of many successful project presentations – relocated and the newly created space remodelled. One wall was designed as an Idea Wall: Up to seven people can write, draw or create mind maps simultaneously on the large four-metre wide screen.
Another highlight is a feature called Pixel. These little boxes can be combined individually to create different pieces of furniture and help enhance and reshape the spatial setting. The new Idea Lab is complemented by a well-balanced colour concept and varied seating and working options.
