Within the CRC 1153, about 40 scientists from ten institutes are pursuing a common goal: They want to develop a novel process chain by first joining different materials and forming them afterwards to load-adapted hybrid solid components.
Experts from different disciplines are cooperating in 14 subprojects. The new CRC managing director Johanna Uhe acts as project coordinator who is also in charge of promoting internal cohesion and research discussion within the CRC. Since January 2017, the mechanical engineer is together with Dr Anas Bouguecha part of the CRC management. Her tasks include assistance to the CRC Board Speaker Professor Dr Bernd-Arno Behrens as well as financial resources management.
Since April 2015, Johanna Uhe is employed as research associate at the Institute of Forming Technology and Machines (IFUM), heading the group Material Characterization. Until the end of 2016, she has been PhD representative on the Board of Directors.
