The significant reduction in global air traffic due to the Covid-19 pandemic poses significant technological and strategic challenges for the entire aerospace industry. This makes an intensive, interdisciplinary exchange between industry experts and science all the more important. This year’s MIC conference offers an ideal opportunity for this. New trends, innovative technologies and current developments in aerospace engineering enable the industry to react adequately and sustainably to the crisis.
Core topics of the conference
On December 2, 2020, the Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools (IFW) and the Manufacturing Innovations Network e.V. are organizing the 20th MIC Conference. For the first time MIC will take place as an online event.
The conference will focus on the digital networking of production facilities, intelligent manufacturing processes and new strategies for dealing with volatile production figures of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). Together with the participants, industry experts will discuss these core topics. The conference framework will be rounded off by 18 presentations. Among other things, new technologies in machining, the further development of machine tools and topics from the field of additive manufacturing will be presented.
Hygiene concept and registration
Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, the MIC will take place as a virtual conference. Online registration is possible until 22 November 2020 at the following e-mail address: vibora_muench@ifw.uni-hannover.de
