Mittelstand 4.0 Centre of Excellence goes to the second round

PZH/IPH | Since 2015 the Mittelstand 4.0 Centre of Excellence „Mit uns digital!“ informs SMEs in Lower Saxony and Bremen about the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation. Now the funding from the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs was renewed.

"Mit uns digital!" is the first Mittelstand 4.0 Centre of Excellence in Germany that continues its work. After a three year funding period, the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs grants 3,6 Million Euro for another two years. The Centres of Excellence qualify small and medium-sized enterprizes for the digital future and strengthens their competitiveness.
The Centre’s performance convinced: The employees realised nearly 500 dialogues, 18 digitalisation-projects, 160 trainings, 90 live-demonstrations and 65 informative meetings. 32 times they were on the move in Lower Saxony with the mobile factory – an urban bus reconstructed to a roadshow-bus. Some new proposals are plannend for the second funding period. With mobile training courses the Centre wants to contact even small and smaller enterprizes. Furthermore, cooperations with other Centers of Excellence shall expand the range of topics.
