Primarily founded to handle the construction, financing and management of the Hannover Centre for Production Technology (PZH), the TEWISS GmbH – formerly PZH GmbH – has been developing in the direction of special-purpose machinery and technology and knowledge transfer towards industry, rendering its services to interested parties of the university and industry sector.
Jocker has already been working at the PZH since 2008. In his function as a research associate at the PZH institute IFUM, he was mainly doing research work on metal forming machines, drive concepts and measurement technology. He appreciates the opportunities going along with his new job: "If the result of a joint project of university and industry is a new system or process and the industrial partner is keen on having it for his own production, then TEWISS is the perfect partner." Apart from special-purpose machinery, the TEWISS portfolio also includes maintenance, service, warranty and CE compliance – which cannot be provided by an institute on its own, but would enhance the attractiveness of an institute’s product range enormously.
Moreover, Jocker is planning a further strengthening of the PZH publishing company, another business domain of TEWISS that has been ever-expanding during the last years.
