Open University: combining study and work

IMPT | The “Studium Initiale” paves the way for professionals without university entrance qualifications who would like to take up studies at a university. The spectrum ranges from orientation courses providing an insight into various degree programmes over soft skill workshops to subject-specific modular courses.

Refreshing technical knowledge, improving career options, opting for a career change, combining theory and practice or striving for a university degree: All this is possible with the "Studium Initiale" which is intended for professionals without qualifications for university entrance who wish to qualify in parallel to their job.
The programme is organized by the Institute of Micro Production Technology (IMPT) and the Zentrale Einrichtung für Qualitätsentwicklung in Studium und Lehre (ZQS). It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
From early May to early June, the IMPT offers in cooperation with the Institute of Materials Science (IW) an upgrade training course on steel materials. While employed, professionals get the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the field of steel manufacture and application of steels and to attend a regular lecture.
All courses offered and further details (in German language) can be found under http://www.zqs.uni-hannover.de/ohd_kursangebot.html.
