The Technical Advisory Board is a registered association for the promotion of the Institute of Materials Science (IW) of Leibniz Universität Hannover. The board consists of alumni of the institute, for example, organizing excursions as well as the annual colloquium on materials science. The Technical Advisory Board was founded 25 years ago. Its anniversary will be celebrated on the occasion of this year’s Materials Science Colloquium.
The event’s highlight will be the presentation of the new X-ray microscope for material characterization using X-rays – similar to CT scanning.
The agenda for the anniversary colloquium also includes talks on "Novel Methods for Material Characterization" as well as on the history of the Technical Advisory Board. The event is completed by a guided tour through the institute and live experiments carried out at the Underwater Technology Centre.
