The transregional collaborative research centre (Transregio) 73 is a joint research initiative of several institutes and chairs, developing a novel forming method – sheet bulk metal forming. The new technology unites the advantages of sheet and bulk metal forming processes. Cold forming has, among others, the advantages of strain hardening during the forming process, high surface quality as well as a near-net-shape production. On the contrary, sheet metal forming enables the production of flat workpieces. Both methods stand for high quantities of workpieces.
The Industrial Colloquium is a collaborative platform to present current research results, from scientific findings to contributions of industry. The colloquium takes place on 12 March 2019 at the Hannover Centre for Production Technology (PZH), Garbsen, from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. The registration fee is 100 Euro. The online registration form, the programme and further information are available under www.TR-73.de.
