IFW | New Strategies for the Aerospace Industry is the topic of the “Machining Innovations Conference for Aerospace Industry” (MIC) on December 2, 2020. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the conference will be held online.

PZH | More efficient and sustainable production of large-scale components for use in wind turbines, aircraft and ships – this is the research topic of SCALE, the new research centre of Leibniz Universität Hannover. Björn Thümler, Lower Saxony’s Minister of Science and Culture took part in the ground-breaking ceremony.

IW | At Hannover Messe 2020, the Institute of Materials Science (IW) will give talks on lightweight construction. In the speakers’ corner of Hall 23, specialists from industry and science will have the opportunity to speak about the topic. Applications can be submitted until the end of January.

PZH/LZH | Oxygen is vital to life – but in production engineering, oxidation makes metalworking difficult. In a new collaborative research centre, the aim of 40 researchers is therefore to develop and establish an “Oxygen-Free Production”.

IFUM | On the occasion of the Forming Colloquium Hannover (UKH) taking place on 4 and 5 March 2020, about 150 participants from industry and research will have the opportunity to discuss the most recent developments in forming technology.
