IFW | Aerospace specialists from all over the world will meet at the “16th Machining Innovations Conference for Aerospace Industry” held on 23 and 24 November 2016 in Hannover, Germany. They will discuss the latest materials for airoplane construction, more efficient processes and innovative machine tools.
IFUM | On the occasion of the 22nd Forming Colloquium Hannover (Umformtechnisches Kolloquium Hannover, UKH), specialists from fields related to research, production and management will meet on 15 and 16 March 2017 under the motto “Innovation Potential in Forming Technology” to discuss recent developments and future challenges related to forming technology.
PZH/LZH/IPH | On Saturday, 12 November 2016, the Leibniz Universität Hannover will be organizing a “Night Out With Science” – and entertainment. Starting at 6 p.m., the institutes and laboratories will open their doors. The production technology will be presenting itself in the Welfenschloss and in the Hannover Centre for Production Technology (PZH).
IFUM/IW/IPH | IFUM, IW and IPH present their latest research results for the automotive sector at the EuroBLECH exhibition in Hannover. From 25 to 29 October 2016, they showcase entirely new tool technologies, lightweight design concepts, joining methods and stress tests.
IMPT | Schoolgirls between the ages 13 and 18 can discover their abilities on Thursday, 10 November 2016, at the Hannover Centre for Production Technology (PZH). For the eighth time, girls are invited to take part in an experience day called “MuT – Mädchen und Technik” (meaning “Tech Needs Girls”).
LZH | The IMA Award of Excellence 2016 goes to Dr. Matthias Gieseke from the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) for his work on the additive manufacturing of magnesium components by Selective Laser Melting (SLM®). His findings have significantly improved the quality of the parts.
IPH/IFA | On 21 and 22 February 2017, specialists and executive managers have the opportunity to learn in Hannover all about the planning of efficient and changeable factories. Experienced factory planning specialists from science and industry provide their practical knowledge – from factory analysis to layout planning.
IMPT | Bulk production of small tools – this is the aim of the Institute of Micro Production Technology (IMPT) at Leibniz Universität Hannover. The scientists are presently developing batch strategies for the production of high-precision silicon carbide micro end milling tools.
