IMPT | From research to industry: With the “Magnetic Information Platform”, three researchers of the Institute of Micro Production Technology (IMPT) founded their own company, which is sponsored with about 725,000 euros from the EXIST programme.

LZH | Since 01 July 2019, Dr.-Ing. Peter Jäschke is heading the Production and Systems Department of the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH). He thus succeeded Dr.-Ing. Oliver Suttmann, who is now working in industry.

LZH | After six months at the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH), one thing is certain for Tabea Karg and Linda Thies: they would recommend the Niedersachsen-Technikum to all high school graduates with an interest in the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

LZH | More and more high school graduates are applying for a Voluntary Scientific Year (FWJ) at the LZH. Nine successful applicants are actively involved in LZH projects until the end of August 2019 – for example, in the field of optical systems for space.

LZH | On April 16th, 2018, Dr.-Ing. Stefan Kaierle takes over the scientific and technical management of the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) together with Dr. Dietmar Kracht. He succeeds Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ludger Overmeyer, who takes over the Chairmanship of the Scientific Directorate from Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ertmer.

IFA | The Institute of Production Systems and Logistics (IFA) had to say goodbye to one of the leading heads: Professor Dr Matthias Schmidt is leaving the institute after more than twelve years to take up a professorship at Leuphana Universität in Lüneburg.
